Documentation

Below are PDF files to our user manuals. They can be downloaded and/or printed if desired.

Firmware

We have many different firmware packages available for various models of tablets and netbooks. Some of these same models may have different firmware packages depending on the serial number.

Use the directory listing at the following link and click on the folder that matches your tablet model. If there is more than one file, match the serial number on the back of the tablet with serial number in the file name. Inside of each folder is a text file called Firmware Update Instructions.txt which you will need to read before you attempt this procedure. If you cannnot make out the entire filename, hover over the link with your mouse and you will see it in the bottom left of your browser window.

Note: If you do not see your model listed, please call us for assistance. Our toll free number is 1-866-777-0079. We are open M-F, 9:30am-6pm EST.
Warning: Unless directed by a Global Phoenix Customer Service Representative, use at your own risk.

Apps

Sometimes the developer of certain apps stops supporting some Android versions or certain make and models of tablets. To bypass the Google Play Store/Android Market in order to install an app directly, please do the following:

  1. Go to Settings->Applications and make sure Unknown Sources is checked
  2. On device, launch web browser and point it to http://goo.gl/ZND0e (note that is a zero before the lower-case "e")
  3. Select the "Apps” folder
  4. Click on the APK file and download it. There is a button on the top right that says Download->Direct Download
  5. Once completed, tap on the downloaded file to install it.

FYI, these apps are available via sites such as freewarelovers.com, handango.com and slideme.com which provide direct access to APK files. If we don't have it listed, it is advised you try these links.
